LKisEvents: The Opening of Editorial Boutique

I get to go to a lot of store openings and some are pretty good and some are plain fabulous. While the scene and the good hors-d’hoeuvres can sway me, it’s really the store that makes the difference. Well, I can tell you that tucked away on Stanley, in Montreal’s downtown core, is a store that is doing just that. Stuffed with the kinda clothes that make any wardrobe cooler, Editorial Boutique is sure to be a regular stop on any Montreal fashionista’s shopping pilgrimage.

The store was packed with the who’s who of Montreal, and hipster invitees were trying on clothes in the back.

Plenty of items caught my eye: I was smitten by these textured crop-tops that would be the perfect layering piece and feminize any outfit, day or night, this summer.

I also loved this new take on the jean, with only one leg delicately covered with an edgy animal print.

At the cash were piles of funky watches that had major cool-factor and would be a great accent to any casual outfit.

I particular liked the bright colors that dotted the store, like these skinny jeans and the piled stretch neon tube skirts (which is a total summer travel necessity- I mean how easy to pack and then how chic to wear?!).

Also at this boutique: the must-have staple Luv U Always Leggings.

Um, and I couldn’t help but notice completely amazing lipstick-red Charlotte Olympia pumps (swoon)…

I got to meet the delightful jewellery designer Jessica B. Hamron, from Blood Stone Jewels, whose innovative line is at Editorial.

Her recent customer was Gwen Stefani, who snapped up a signature ring from her newest collection… need I say more?!

Yup…I need to say that I instantly fell for her awesome triple-finger ring, that was my kind of rock and roll vibe.

It helps that this store is the brainchild of three cooler-than-cool partners, who embody the notion that their store brings to life. Cuz, you see it takes cool to know cool, and Editorial Boutique will no doubt be a regular haunt for those in the know.
