I decided to head to the No 3 event (an event that offers a space for local designers to present their creation in an unrestricted manner) last week to check out the fashion shows and maybe doing a little window shopping.
I brought along a trusty stylin’ sidekick (thank you @DavineMissC), and headed to the Telus Theatre. We grabbed a glass of Pinot (at least that is what I asked for) and started our perusal.
I was already familiar with Elisa C-Rossow, whose aesthetic I had totally fallen for at the Festival Mode &Design in Montreal a buncha’ weeks prior. I headed over to check out her collection and immediately was jonesing for a thick wool assymetrical cape that screamed “Wear me this fall.”
Soooooo, I had to try it on….
The back had an interesting accordion detailing that I was completely into.
DavineMissC was scoping out the jewelery and was feeling a sculptural wire ring.
We then headed over to the faux furrier, Mezzamorphos. With faux fur lined scarves and leg warmers, this Quebecois solution to the colder months made perfect fashion sense.
I was taken by these gorgeous and unique neck warmers from Noujica. With intricate painted on details and a boho-chicness, these muted scarves would be so perfect apres-ski.
A fur necklace (non-faux, btw) by Rachel F. was also interesting and had a sophisticated, but inherently Canadiana vibe (I recently bought a similar necklace with feathers).
Lots of peeps turned up for this fun shopping experience and the fashion shows were understated and pleasantly casual. We finished our glass of wine and headed for the door, looking forward to another fashion filled Canadian fall.
