It felt amazing to be back in Toronto at the tents and as expected the show-goers brought their fashion best to the runway-table.
The week opened with some inspirational words from the always-fabulous and completely unstoppable Robin Kay.
Between the shows it was networking and see-and-be-seen (or scene!).
I spotted tons of colour on my first two days of fashion week…
Chic and talented designers Kirsten Korhani (Korhani) and Kimberley Newport-Mimran (Pink Tartan) certainly got the colour memo.
There was a ton of indigo on the fab fashion set. I was so into Stacey Mckenzie’s sassy suit and striking cherry collar and pumps.
Lovely bloggette Lolitta Dandoy always knows how to do colour and her indigo pantsuit was no exception.
Indigo then moved into deep purple for this gorgeous show-goer’s tresses.
Seeing green, anyone?
There was every shade of green imaginable at WMCFW.
Electric and neon green:
Giving new meaning to the name Doublemint Green:
Lucky leprechaun green on my fave, Spiro Mandylor (check out his Stylicity blog and his fab site www.itsallstyletome.com!).
And, totally gorgeous teal on my front row partner in crime, Tammy.
Sunny yellow (fab jacket by Antonella Pica!) on day two was perfectly acceptable given the balmy air that hit TO.
And MTV News host and producer, Aliya-Jasmine Sovani, looked amazing in this yellow dress (perfect for her beautiful olive skin!).
My version of colour?
Well, I did sport an indigo skirt, but mostly it was texture (feathers and faux-fur) and black, black and more black…I may venture outside my black comfort zone…you’ll have to wait and see!
I can’t wait to check out what the fashion-y peeps wear to the next three days and I will be sure to give you all the detes from the front row and from the stylish mingling on the scene!
