Day 2 and 3 of Montreal Fashion Week were definitely noteworthy. The runway was brought to life with a few awesome shows (Will Smith…) and I was pleased to see that the house was full (as far as I could tell!).

Here is my take on the shows I attended on Day 2 and 3….and I am making it short and sweet to get through 8 shows in this post!

Day 2:

Nisse

Show highlights: Sleek separates, lace accents, work-ready masculine-inspired wardrobe…LOVE the twinkling gold suit.

P&G Beauty Notes for Nisse:

Low square buns, side-parts, burgundy lips.

Ralph Leroy

Show Highlights: Haitian inspired, men’s and women’s clothing, suiting with contrasting lapels, natural colours with red accents and metallic basics.

P&G Beauty Notes for Ralph Leroy

Hair was given extreme volume tamed into a braid, silver smoky eyes.

Martin Lim

Show Highlights: Fringe, cobalt blue, metallics, short hemlines…I FREAKED for this collection.

P&G Beauty Notes for Martin Lim

Squared off eyeliner, basic skin, 1970’s flowing hair.

Day 3:

Matiere Noire

Show Highlights: Original and awesome physical layout for the show, short hems, mixed and match separates, unique silhouettes…

I want this cape/dress.

P&G Beauty Notes for Matiere Noire

Amish-punk hair, milky complexion, stained red lips.

L’Autre Couture de Luko Marion

Show highlights: Military, chain mail, S&M undertones, black on black, urban-soldier-chic.

P&G Beauty Notes for Luko

Sleek side ponytails topped with military hats, long black talon-like nails, nude lips.

Cokluch

Show Highlights: Body hugging dresses, natural palette, layering pieces, recycled leather.

P&G Beauty Notes for Cokluch

Volume and braid for hair, smokey eyes but overall fresh look.

Rachel Sin

Show Highlights: Sexy secretary, colour blocked suits and dresses, polka dots, mint and red punches of colour.

P&G Beauty Notes for Rachel Sin

High buns (I think 2013 is the year of the bun people…stay tuned), red lips.

Rush Couture par Claudette Floyd

Show Highlights: Departure from evening gowns to a lifestyle collection, three phases (Tuxedo inspired by Hollywood glamour, Black & Gold for a primitive outlook, and Red & Gold mixing 1960s silhouettes and exotic fabrics).

P&G Beauty Notes for Rush Couture

Light makeup, very subtle, and hair parted in the middle with soft elegant movement.

Okay…So that was Day 2 and 3 in a nutshell (a teeny, tiny nutshell!). I will be putting up the full collections on my Facebook fan page next week so you can get all the goods on Mtl Fashion Week!

Last day is today!!

See you on the runway,

xxx
