I am not exactly sure how Wednesday has already come and gone, but I have a feeling that it has something to do with the whole time-flies-when-you-are-having-fun-thing.
The third day of World Mastercard Fashion Week was a whirlwind, with shows from some major up-and-comers.
Here are my highlights from Day 3:
So, aside from the fact that I consider Christopher to be a friend, he is also a showman and ultimately one to watch in Canadian menswear. This collection was classic Bates with masculine overtones, deliberate details and an overall suave euro-vibe… think pink shorts with suspenders. I really liked to see his aesthetic move to the next level with a more diversified offering and yes….distressed denim.
The show is just damn sexy without fail. It seems fitting that this design team manages to truly capture the total sexpot history of denim in one fell swoop. The buzz for this season: The printed pants that are clearly the ideal combo of comfort and glamour. My faves? The wood-print skinnies, lamé snake print and a faded lace around the ankles on a periwinkle pair…did I mention the shirtless guys? Ya, nobody minded them either.

Sometimes you see a runway show and you get completely whisked away.
Well, this was one of those moments. Between the floaty fabrics, the fabulous silhouettes and the utterly effortless chic of every single look, I was completely floored. The colours were girly and perfect for Spring/Summer 2014, with mint, cherry and lots of airy white. It is one of those collections that you wish someone would send to you on some glamorous vacation in the Islands (and I mean send me it in its entirety!).
