LKISStyle: On Virgin Radio, Signature Coats, Fighting the Cold With Fashion

My next post on Virgin Radio is up! I review the must-have (especially for Canada!!!) coats for the season.

I am posting it here for your convenience!:

I am not one of those people who loves the cold.

In fact, I kind of hate it.

Sure, sure, snow is pretty and I enjoy skiing but frankly, chattering teeth and numb fingertips are not my idea of a good time.

What makes it better? Well, the fact that fashion makes this season bearable. And, this year is no exception with the coat as a signature piece hailed by the fashion community as the must have garment for the winter (ummm, somebody tell everyone that in Canada we have no choice but to get a signature coat…otherwise we freeze!).

So, what can you expect this season?

If you are in the Great White North a parka is a fabulous and fashionable option.

I loved this blue one from Lole.

And, Canada Goose is always a safe (and warm) bet.

A sure-to-be-considered-signature coat is leopard print, like these knockouts from Burberry Prorsum and Asos.

And, I am totally gaga for this metallic/animal print jacket also from Burberry Prorsum.

Another hot trend in coats this season: Think pink.
This J.Crew classic coat is made into a modern show-stopper in bubble-gum pink.

I am over the moon for this pink number from Alice and Olivia.

Basic with a twist is all you need to rock the always-awesome trench-style.
This fresh take on this coat is from NastyGal.

And, I love this canary yellow one from Asos.

Short and fur-trimmed (faux is good too, peeps) is adorable and practical all at the same time, like this Prabal Gurung peplum.

Or, you can’t go wrong with Montreal’s own Mackage. I think this coral colour is flattering and fun.

What coat will I be rocking this winter? I am definitely thinking in pink, just like I did last year!

Stay warm,
