NEW POST IS UP!
It’s all on Virgin Radio…and of course right here for your viewing pleasssssssure!
So, first things first: Happy New Year!
And, just because the year-end parties have come and gone, and it has been minus one million degrees outside, doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still shimmer and shine, right???
Enter one of my favourite looks to help bring out the cheerful ice princess in all of us: Holographic clothing. There is just something magical (and perfectly winter appropriate) when this irridescent fabric glimmers in the most glamorous and colourful way.
So first up, a holographic dress from www.ShopNastyGal.com. I think this would brighten up anyone’s January.
And, what about this colourful frock from Cynthia Rowley? The thick neoprene fabric adds to its spacey feel.
If you are wanting to take the holographic dress to the next level, definitely try a romper like this sequin one.
Speaking of sequins: one of my absolute-to-die-for favourites is this shiny shirt and shorts outfit from Acne Studios. I want this baaaaaaaadly.
Another ensemble from Gucci is for sure hologram at its most sophisticated (Mom, this is the one I was talking about!).
If you don’t want to be holographic head-to-toe then this moto-jacket from www.ShopNastyGal.com would be the perfect compromise.
Separates is always a great way to incorporate the flashier trends, like this Milly NY Leather Edith Pencil Skirt: Talk about a conversation piece!
Another great way to snap up the look without committing too heavily is via accessories. Enter this Gucci sandals (which would go amazingly with that outfit…what a coinky-dink).
Or these pumps, which I would totally sport with a black blazer and skinny leather pants.
You can also try jewelery with a hint of a holographic hue like this crazy-cool cuff.
And, why not head for a hologram handbag?
Like an ethereal clutch:
Or, a Marc by Marc Jacobs computer bag:
Or, this totally covet-worthy Fendi:
You could also try bringing the hologram to your eyes with Ray-bans sick Cats 5000 Flash lenses.
Okay, so it’s freaking cold out.
It’s also that dreary time of year when everything needs a little colour and shine. Give a holographic hue a whirl and I promise you will be feeling a spring in your new-year-step in no time.
