LKISStyle: My Top Fashion Misses From the 2014 Golden Globes

Sooooooo, yesterday I told you all about the looks I loved at the Golden Globes on Virgin Radio (you can read it here:…

…And, now it’s time for me to break down the bad.

I have to say that there was a lot of “ick” at this year’s awards show.

My first least favourite was the Dior white dress that Jennifer Lawrence wore. That below-the-bum belt was uber-unflattering.

I have to say that all the “Girls” were not doing it for me but my most least loved was Lena Dunham’s Zac Posen banana-rama awfulness and Allison Willioms fuzzy striped Alexander McQueen

Also really bugging me at the Globes were the I-shot-the-couch dresses worn by Tina Fey and Drew Barrymore- too much print ladies. Thank goodness Drew was totally adorably pregnant and Tina made up for this first dress with some extremely redeeming wardrobe changes throughout the evening.

I was so not into Zoe Saldana’s Prabal Gurung dress at all. It was just too darn busy.

Sandy, Sandy, why?! The most powerful woman in Hollywood missed the mark in her colour-blocked apron-vibe Prabal Gurung.

Rashida Jones was in this palm tree doozy by Fausto Puglisi. I think the intention was to be playful but the result was definitely “ick.”

Oh dear this oversized volume was too too too much. Paula Patton was overwhelmed by this Stephane Rolland Couture dress (and how did she manage to talk to anyone to her left?).

Hayden Panatierre was an epic red carpet miss. The actress bought her Tom Ford off the rack (a pretty big no-no according to the rules of red-carpet etiquette, especially when a designer makes the decision to dress specific actresses) and frankly I think it just wasn’t the look for her, head-to-toe.

Alright, so there are my oooooogliest pics from this year’s Golden Globes. What do you think? Which look did you love/hate the most? With all this red carpet fashion fodder, I have to remember to watch the actual awards!
