LKISStyle: On Virgin Radio, 6 Winter Boot Brands That Will Have You Jumping (in Snow) for Fashion Joy

Today on Virgin Radio I am chatting all about boots- check it out there or here!

Oh gawd. I see snow. Is it normal to dread little flakes that seem so harmless, beautiful even. Snow makes me anxious…suddenly shoe choices dwindle and all my emphasis on fashion falls by the wayside as I combat the cold, sans style.

Well, no more!

I am here to tell you we are taking back the winter, one sassy shoe at a time.

Here are my top six picks for winter boots that will have your fashion self weeping tears of joy (even as they freeze midway down your face).

1. Rock ‘n roll on with Frye

Frye is synonymous with quality and kicking style but how happy am I to learn that they are also lining their boots with yummy warm shearling!

2. No more flat feet thanks to Pajar:

Think you need to wear flat boots just cuz it’s freaking freezing outside? Um, nope. Pajar makes waterproof boots that are good in -35 degree weather. Now those are heels I can strut in, even in a squall.

3. Not your brother’s Sorels:

Sorels have always been kinda utilitarian. But check out these ultra-cool versions of this weather worthy classic.

4. Not your little sister’s Uggs:

Uggs as a uniform for the gum-snapping, velvet sweatsuit clad tween is a far cry from these completely hot (literally, figuratively) boots from Ugg.

5. Not your kid’s Crocs:

Crocs are comfy…and they are great for little kids (no shoe laces, fun colours). But enter these bad boys that have colour, texture and yup, comfort, all for an adult audience.

6. Manitoba Mukluks melting my heart:

This Aboriginal-owned company uses traditional methods to create gorgeous boots that are stylish and utterly winter-ready. I am dying for a pair!

Are you feeling a little more excited about the impending doom that is winter? I am…I may even play in the snow.
