It’s my favourite holiday! It’s Fashion Week time!!!

Another World Mastercard Fashion Week is underway in Toronto and I headed to the tents at David Pecault Square to check out what we can expect for Fall/Winter 2015.

I know next winter is not exactly on our minds (in fact I might be blocking it out), but a girl should always be ahead of the fashion game!

So, here are some of my favourite trends that I saw working that runway:

(All photos provided by Opique Photography)

1. Lamé ladies

Metallic looks brought some major bling to the shows. Check out these two from Narces (left) and Pink Tartan (right).

2. Long Fringe Fabulous

When I saw these majestic pieces come down the runway, it was obvious that this accent is a home run and it’s gonna hit big come fall. The Mackage show featured outerwear with amazing fringe that swished in the most sexy and dramatic way.

3. The Modern Jumpsuit

The jumpsuit is like a maxi-dress with a wink, and this silhouette was totally inspired during this World Mastercard Fashion Week. A metallic circle-covered jumpsuit at Vawk would be the perfect night out outfit for a girl with major style and the wedding jumpsuit at Narces was definitely what Carrie Bradshaw would wear to renew her vows.

4. Wackadoodle Prints

You would figure because we were watching Fall/Winter fashions that it would be all black-grey-navy-burgunday-brown, but not so thanks to whimsical lip-printed dresses at Narces (centre) and mega-watted print mashups at Hayley Elsaesser (left and right).

5. 50 Shades of Cozy Grey

Grey knit is just perfect for winter and thanks to Melissa Nepton (left) and Pink Tartan (right), we got validation that wrapping ourselves in those bundles of grey is perfectly on-trend.

So, there you have it!

Okay, I know, you don’t really want to think of next winter when the snow might actually melt one of these days, but think of it as a sneak peak…a fashion trailer!
